Facility Rules & Procedures
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors, High Caliber Training Center enforces the following range policies and safety rules:
FOID Card Requirement
All Illinois residents must possess a valid Firearm Owner’s Identification (FOID) card or be accompanied by someone with a valid FOID card to enter the range.
Non-Resident ID Requirement
Visitors without a FOID card must provide a valid state-issued ID.
Health Advisory
Pregnant and nursing mothers are not permitted on the range due to lead exposure risks.
Waiver & Safety Video
All shooters must sign a liability waiver and watch a mandatory safety video before using the range.
Ammunition Purchase Requirement
Shooters using rental firearms must purchase ammunition through High Caliber Training Center.
Age Requirement
Shooters under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times while on the range.
Firearm Handling
All firearms must remain in a case until the shooter is inside their designated shooting booth.
Rapid Fire Policy
While rapid fire is allowed, shooters must maintain accuracy and control. If shots are off-target, rapid fire privileges will be restricted.
Prohibited Firearms & Ammunition
To maintain a safe and controlled environment, the following firearms and ammunition types are not permitted:
Black powder firearms
Long guns without iron sights, red dot, or scope
BB guns
Steel case or steel core ammunition
Personal reloads
Shot shells (slugs are permitted)
Dress Code & Protective Gear
Safety is our top priority. Proper attire and protective equipment are required:
Eye Protection
Sunglasses are not considered adequate eye protection. Proper safety glasses are required.
Ear Protection
Ear protection is mandatory. AirPods, Beats headphones, or similar non-protective ear wear are not acceptable.
